The New Sunday

After years of being a pastor of some form, paid or unpaid, I was used to Sunday mornings always being filled, rushed, and stressful. I’ve been out of that world for a couple years now, and have learned that Sunday mornings don’t even need to remotely look like that anymore. Now I get up when I feel like it, make some coffee, bacon, eggs, and toast and just relax.

Yeah, I still go to church on Sunday evenings… in a living room with a few people.  But it’s relaxed.  Often we even have beer while churching it up.

Somehow this just seems to make a lot more sense for this day of rest. Even if I did accidently put too much salt on my eggs this morning.
